Peter originally commenced research activity in the pursuit of new MgO Magnesium Oxide fire protective construction claddings in Australia in 2011, following the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria 2009 which destroyed over 2000 homes and in which 173 people died.
Later in 2014, a major real-time bushfire simulation attack took place, managed by the CSIRO, the Magnesium Oxide materials were a major success, resulting in AS1530.8.2 BAL FZ, the only lightweight non-CFC 10mm thick product to meet those 1000 deg 50Kw/m2 specifications.
The FireCrunch Trade Name was established in 2015 following additional major CSIRO fire tests under AS1530.4-2014-2029 and is a leading supplier of MgSO4 fire protective claddings to major industries in Australia and the UK.
