LOWER COST, HIGHER MARGINS,
ALTERNATIVE TO PLASTERBOARD WITH FASTER FINSH TIMES
FireCrunch is NATA/ CSIRO BCA fire tested building board AS 1530.4-2005/16 Fire Resistance Level (FRL) of 90/90/90 and above, and only requires a single 10mm sheet of FireCrunch magnesium oxide building board each side of the frame.
Compare this sometimes to up to three layers of plasterboard to reach a high FRL of 90/90/90.
Cuts Costs, Labour and Materials
This enables jobs that have already gone to tender and quotes accepted for expensive plasterboard, with the huge extra content of two or three times the material and massive on labour and other contributory costs as per above can be revised.
SERIOUSLY IMPROVE THE BOTTOM LINE AND ROI
WHILE USING A BETTER PRODUCT WITH LONGER LIFE, LOW MAINTENANCE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE
This change can provide extra margin back to the developer builder by changing the “specified” product to FCA FireCrunch.
This can immediately be converted into extra profit BY switching to FireCrunch, with up to a 70% labour cost reduction which is easily obtainable with FireCrunch. Fire Crunch is a fire and finish surface board with class 4/5 top commercial surface no extra linings required seal and paint as usual.
Varied edge types for interior exterior joint set
Interiors use recessed edge FCA board for paster set joints standard air dried plaser set and topping compounds, tapes etc
Win more tenders with Fire Crunch lower costs
In applying for first up tenders the same result, you will be able to quote a lower cost base when using FireCrunch where only 1 x 10mm sheet per side of a single stud fire separation wall or double stud wall using 76mm or 92mm steel framing to complete the entire job, while your competitors will still be quoting on plasterboard, non-comparable to FireCrunch and you will win the tender on price every time.
Fireproof plasterboard and plasterboard cladding has not altered much in the past 60 years. Plasterboard is a weak, non-water-resistant product which fails immediately in prolonged submersion in water and flooding, causing considerable distress in clean-up cost, plus expensive entire replacement of plasterboard which will collapse again in the next flood if not changed to MgO magnesium sulfate building boards like FireCrunch. It damages easily in transport and on site handling.
When it comes to fire, whether it is free standing residential homes or high rise residential or commercial buildings, to date conventional cement CFC building boards and plasterboard have been the only choice. However, now there is a BCA NATA test certified CSIRO 21st century FireCrunch product, which has multifunction benefits in interior / exterior use.
Environmentally responsible FCA products provide lower cost in the end
Plasterboards are not produced with environmentally friendly building materials and in fact they are not eco-friendly at all, destroying millions of oxygen producing trees each year to produce paper lined plasterboards. Conventional building and plasterboards contribute up to 95% more Co2 in manufacture than FireCrunch magnesium oxide boards and with much a higher composite strength. (New Scientist magazine USA on magnesia products)
Whilst Co2 emissions may not be a priority consideration in construction just yet, FireCrunch is approximately one third more than Fyrchek however, there is a profound hidden high labour cost reduction benefit which can be as high as 70% on construction projects which outweighs the relatively small material variance when you only need 1 x 10mm sheet instead of three sheets of 13mm or 16mm Fyrchek or similar plasterboard.
FireCrunch only requires 1 x 10mm sheet on each side of framing compared to multiple layers of plasterboard. The best example is FRL 90/90/90 where up to three layers of fire rated plasterboard is required on each side (six sheets) compared to only two sheets of FireCrunch. The cost savings are further attributed in:
- 2 x more transport cost to site/weight rated
- 2 x more labour to site unload
- 2 x more Crane up time
- 2 x more actual labour assembly 6 sheets compared to 2
- Where 2 sheets compared to 4 are required the labour cost is halved
- Where 6 sheets required, it goes to 70% and on major projects these are significant sums
FIRE, FLOODING,TERMITES, IMPACT,BACTERIA, MILDEW AND MOULD
PLUS 95% LESS Co2 IN MANUFACTURE
FireCrunch has continued to differentiate by leading the industry in quality and specification requirements. FireCrunch has been extensively tested by NATA accredited testing labs in Australia and has demonstrated its superior capability in the areas of strength, acoustics, fire and water resistance, termite preventive design and certificated non-asbestos content to ensure reliability and durability.
With a fire resistance level (FRL) of up to 90/90/90 with two sheets and a higher FRL of 2 hours (120 mins) and more with 2 sheets per side and temperature resistance of up to 1200°C, the FireCrunch building board FRL of 120/120/120 and more are obtainable. Celings ,floors, walls and NATA/ CSIRO accredited fire penetrations with SNAP patented fire collars with just 1 x10mm Fire crunch Board.
FireCrunch is the now the industry choice leader in fire resistant building board. The CSIRO certification and NATA accreditation for asbestos free materials ensure that buildings constructed with FireCrunch are above and beyond the minimum BCA requirements. FireCrunch is a safeguarded against potential threats and damage, whether it is caused by fire or water, impact, termites, bacteria, mould and mildew.
