Yes, we care about our planet and its environment. For this reason, we only manufacture Environmental Building Board. Do they cost more than normal cladding? What are the benefits?  The cost of FireCrunch Environmental building board  is higher than Gyprock or gyprock alternative plaster board but there are a lot of environmental benefits which so called Gyprock alternative and Environmental plaster board cannot offer.

Since our company inception in the Australian market recently , we have felt the need to bring in the benefits of an Environmental Building Board ,that “is” really environmentally friendly. The quality of our building boards do not deteriorate when they are manufactured in an Eco friendly way. So far, FireCrunch has been very successful in establishing a powerful and responsible image in the market of fire rated building materials.

FireCrunch Planet friendly low Co2 carbon  footprint

FireCrunch is a MgO magnesium Oxide composite board made up of 45% waste recycled oxide, fibre mesh composites and Mgchl2 magnesium chloride and some mixed magnesium sulphate. This mix has a substantially lower direct benefit in a very low Co2 pollutive value output in manufacture, compared to plasterboard and cement products.

The kiln temperature of plasterboard products is approx 1350 deg c

Firecrunch Mgo is around 65o deg c so in manufacture the product emits 0nly 50% of the Co2 from plasterboard.

However there is more to tell….

FireCrunch is a low Co2 virtual carbon neutral product 

Fire Crunch MgO, unlike plasterboard, needs  a 21 day curing period called “carbonation” as it is poured from a liquid into a mold set sheeting.

During this carbonation period it draws back  approx 90% of the Co2 created, making it a virtually carbon neutral product.

Where is FireCrunch made ?

FireCrunch is made in China to FCA specifications meeting Australian BCA standards, it has been tested in Australia by NATA accredited Govt approved testing authorities like the CSIRO for FIRE, ACOUSTICS and NON ASBESTOS content and carries full certification documents of test.

MgO board cannot currently be manufactured outside of China as the MgO is a raw material, steel manufacturing waste product and China controls the raw oxide for use in domestic production as they use Mgo board like plasterboard in Australia. As a result only the finished manufactured product in sheet form can be exported overseas.
