Vital information you need to know about plasterboards for protection from fire mishaps

We are the leading manufacturers of gypsum based products like plasterboard and other associated finishing materials.

We supply a wide range of fire protection products as well as fire safe building board NSW, thermal and acoustic across all the segments of the construction industry.

Plasterboards comprise of the inner layer of gypsum, which is sandwiched in between the outer layers of the lining paper with various additives on the gypsum layer and varied strength and weight of the lining paper.

  • Gypsum is made out of crystals which contains a small amount of water, which is helpful to reduce the temperature of the fire and also prevent rapid fire spread. FireCrunch plasterboards are suitable for reducing the noise transmission of the airborne sounds like music and speech. Our high performance plasterboards are designed in order to provide complete insulation against the sound.
  • Some of the common plasterboards are available with the option of square edge or tapered edge. Square edged taper boards are used for textured finishing, whereas taper edged plasterboards are used for either skimming or jointing.
  • The standard plastered boards have ivory face on one side and brown face on the other side. The ivory face of the plasterboard is mainly designed for the purpose of plastering plaster and it should not be applied to the brown face. The paper liners used for the plastic board are made up of recycled paper which is a great plus point for the surroundings.

We are well equipped with non-combustible as well as high performance Building Board NSW. They are designed with 0 fire rating for flooring, ceiling applications and on the walls. Our fire protection boards are very strong, lightweight, non-combustible building board which is fully certified for the construction purpose.

Our fire protection boards are very high in performance and provides maximum of 240 minutes protection from fire. It’s very simple to work, fix and decorate. Moreover of all those, Bushfire Safe Plasterboard NSW is resistant to moisture, it will not get rot and doesn’t decay as well. The fire protection board is a calcium silicate board which is reinforced with the chosen fibres and fillers. This particular board is made up of inorganic fibres and it doesn’t contain any formaldehyde.

Moisture resistance

Our fire resistant board retains their excellent dimensional stability even moist and humid conditions. You can get it installed during the early stages of construction prior to wet trades are finished and the building is fully whether tight.

Impact resistance

Our fire protection products have good resistance and thus make it suitable for the majority of the industrial applications.

Chemical and Biological resistance

Our Environmental Plasterboard NSW is resistant to mould growth, chemicals, insects and rodents. These boards are quite easy to cut, drip and provide proper shape as per the requirements and moreover of all those our environmental plastic boards can be altered as per the requirements without the need of any special tools.
