Project Managers

Increase your profits (ROI) by using FireCrunch K-Clad Fire resistant building cladding board.

Project Managers can eliminate up to 3 layers of plasterboard per side of frame and increase your rental space per floor. Get FRL to 90/90/90 on a single 10mm sheet per side and acoustics way over BCA minimum of Rw 52 including ctr with standard double stud frame

Eliminate thick, space robbing Hebel, CSR and Boral Shaft liner systems and use our  NATA Labs fire tested, Fire separation wall, FLR 90/90/90 and CSIRO assessed SNAP Fire Systems fire penetration collars to FRL 90/90/90.

If, as the builder, you have already tendered and won quoting the job in plasterboard, get specification variation approved and use FireCrunch K-Clad to really increase your margins against the higher labour and attendant cost of expensive multilayer Fyrchek plasterboard and show the developer the increased floor space and have a better product for the class 4 / 5 end finish. All in one 10mm cladding sheet.

If you are about to tender, specify FireCrunch K-Clad and always win the tender with less material and labour cost, against multiple layer plasterboard and extra labour.

New, non-metal corrosive magnesium sulphate boards from FireCrunch.

Most MgO product from China has a mix of Magnesium oxide and Magnesium Chloride and, whilst ok for fire, it was capable of rusting out steel and fixings within 6 weeks if not carefully pre-sealed.

FireCrunch uses only mag sulphate as the second bonder, FireCrunch Oxy sulphate boards and has eliminated any steel corrosive action the mix is now (MgSO4) known as K-Clad.

AUSTRALIAN NATA FIRE TESTS

FireCrunch is NATA / CSIRO BCA fire tested to AS1530.4-2014 (C1..C19)-/ 2025  Fire Resistance Level (FRL) of 90/90/90 and above in timber or light gauge steel framing, requiring only a single 10mm sheet of FireCrunch K-Clad (MgSO4) building board.

Compare this to up to three layers of 13mm, or two of 16mm Fyrchek plasterboard to reach a high FRL 90/90/90. This enables jobs that can be capitalised on by eliminating Fyrchek plasterboard converting to the 10mm FireCrunch method and adding more to the profit bottom line. Plus increase the project ROI with larger rentable or sales promoting larger living areas, you will be well thanked for that!

FireCrunch increases your profit margin immediately. If you have already gone to tender and quotes have been accepted for expensive, labour intensive plasterboard, switch spec to FireCrunch.

This can immediately be converted into extra “bottom line profit “for the developer builder by switching to FireCrunch K-Clad, with up to a 50 to 70% cost reduction in labour and materials and faster finish times, easily obtainable with FireCrunch.

In applying for first up tenders, the same result, you will be able to quote a lower cost base against competitors when using FireCrunch fireproof building boards where only 1 x 10mm sheet per side of a single stud fire separation wall or double studs using 76mm or 92mm steel framing to complete the entire job.

Your competitors will still be quoting on multiple layers of plasterboard and attendant extra multi sheet labour, in comparison to FireCrunch, and you will win the tender. Plasterboard is never a nominated product, just specified, so the spec can be altered by the builder / project manager to FireCrunch (MgSO4).

WATER RESISTANT WITH FIRECRUNCH K-CLAD

Fireproof plasterboard and plasterboard cladding has not altered much in the past 60 years. Plasterboard is a weak, non-water-resistant product which fails immediately in prolonged submersion in water and flooding, causing home owners’ considerable distress in clean-up and replacement cost. Plus, expensive entire replacement of plasterboard which will collapse again in the next flood if not changed to Magnesium Oxide MgSO4 building boards like FireCrunch.

When it comes to fire, whether it is free standing residential homes or high-rise residential or commercial buildings, to date, conventional compressed fibre cement CFC building boards and plasterboard have been the only choice. However, now there is a BCA certified 21st century Product … FireCrunch.

Kind to the environment and planet friendly only 5% CO2 pollutive value after manufacturing, compared to 95% CO2 in plasterboard and does not destroy millions of life preserving oxygen producing trees each year.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FIRECRUNCH

Plasterboards are not produced with environmentally friendly building materials and in fact they are not eco-friendly at all, destroying millions of oxygen producing, CO2 absorbing trees each year to produce paper lined plasterboards. Conventional building and fire resistant plasterboards contribute up to 95% more CO2 in manufacture than FireCrunch K-Clad, magnesium oxide boards (MgSO4) and with a much higher composite strength. K-CLAD: COST BENEFIT LABOUR AND MATERIAL 50% TO 70%

Whilst low CO2 emissions may not be a total priority consideration in construction yet, FireCrunch K-Clad is approximately one third more than Fyrchek per sheet but only one 10mm sheet is needed not up to 3 x13mm or 2 x 16mm So even with two 16mm Fyrchek sheets the material cost is 25% less, plus the site labour, transport weight double, site handling and double install labour, minimum 50% overall reduction per m2 installed is easily achieved.

FireCrunch K-Clad only requires 1 x 10mm sheet on each side of framing compared to multiple layers of Fyrchek plasterboard. The best example is FRL 90/90/90 where up to three layers of 13mm fire rated Fyrchek or similar plasterboard is required on each side (six sheets) compared to only two sheets of FireCrunch.

The cost savings are further attributed in:

  • 2x more transport cost/weight rated

  • 2x more labour to site unload

  • 2x more crane up time

  • 2x more actual labour assembly 6 sheets compared to 2

  • Where 2 sheets compared to 4 are required the labour cost is halved

  • Where 6 sheets required it goes to 70% and on major projects these are significant sums

FireCrunch K-Clad has continued to differentiate by leading the industry in quality and fireproof building board specification requirements. K-Clad has been extensively NATA / CSIRO tested and has demonstrated its superior capability in the areas of strength, acoustics, fire and water resistance, termite preventive design and certificated non-asbestos and NATA certified NON-metal Corrosive MgO Chloride (MgChl2) content to ensure reliability and durability.

With a fire resistance level (FRL) of up to 90/90/90 with 1x10mm sheet per side and a higher FRL of 2 hours (120 mins) and more with 2 sheets per side and temperature resistance of up to 1200°C, the FireCrunch passive building board FRL of 120/120/120 and over is obtainable. FireCrunch K-Clad is the now the industry choice leader in fire resistant building board and light weight construction materials. The CSIRO certification and NATA accreditation for asbestos free building materials ensure that buildings constructed with FireCrunch are above and beyond the minimum BCA requirements.

FireCrunch K-Clad is safeguarded against potential threats and damage, whether it is caused by fire or water, impact, termites, bacteria, mould and mildew.
